Repairing involves placing a piano back into good condition by cleaning, repairing, and adjusting parts (whether existing or new) to help the instrument reach its peak condition and potential. With the same purpose, rebuilding a piano includes disassembling, inspecting, and replacing (as necessary) any worn or damaged parts, then reassembling, testing, and improving the piano to the same standards as a new piano from the same manufacturer.
